Credit scores down in Q1; Kentucky score low

Credit scores throughout the country have fallen two points in the first quarter to 665 and California still has the best credit score in the nation, according to a report Wednesday from CreditKarma.com. Nine states — Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia — have fair to poor credit scores of 650 or lower, an increase of two states since January.
