BALTIMORE — For awhile Monday afternoon, you could let your gaze wander around Oriole Park at Camden Yards and imagine it was October 1996 or August 1997 or May 1998 again, back when the Baltimore Orioles still mattered, before that teeming sea of orange in the stands — 45,000-plus souls on a nightly basis — slowly morphed over the ensuing years into a barren landscape of empty, green seats.
