Crews have played a losing battle of whack-a-mole with potholes in Colorado Springs roadways so far this year.From Jan. 1 to July 1 the city filled 38,709 potholes, an increase of more than 100 percent over the same period in 2014. "Have more people called them in? The answer is going to be yes," said Corey Farkas, division manager for the city's streets division.
