Garden honoring Lake Health doctors opens to public

The garden, which offers lush greenery and benches for reflection and relaxation, is the centerpiece of the third and final phase of the four-season Wellness Walk that encircles the wooded campus of TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township.The garden was dedicated on Aug. 3. Lake Health surgeon Boris Vinogradsky proposed creation of the garden that honors 226 physicians who have worked at Lake Health for 25 years or more.

 

Willoughby-Middlefield business gets provisional processor license for medical marijuana

The Ohio Department of Commerce has started issuing provisional processor licenses which will allow for production of medial marijuana products. The department accepted 104 applications for review during the application period of Dec. 4-15. From those, they can award up to 40 licenses.The department released the first round of provisional license recipients on Aug.

Girdled-Ravenna intersection in Concord Township getting improvements

Weather permitting, the Lake County Engineer's Office will be performing drainage and pavement improvements at the intersection of Girdled and Ravenna roads in Concord Township beginning at 9 a.m. Aug. 6. Work will continue through the week and conclude at 3 p.

 

Morley Road bridge in Concord Township closing for repairs

Beginning Aug. 7, Morley Road over Interstate 90 in Concord Township will close for 45 days for bridge repairs, the Ohio Department of Transportation announced. $8,000 worth of drugs, $5,000 cash seized in Willowick bust

The Lake County Narcotics Agency seized $8,000 worth of drugs during a bust at a Willowick home. The agency executed a search warrant Aug. 1 at a residence along the 29000 block of Barjode Road after several complaints of drug activity had been made. Officers seized the drugs that included cocaine and oxycodone tablets as well as $5,000 in cash and a digital scale.
