Project Hope, Aqua Doc putting on 'Jog with a Frog'

Project Hope for the Homeless announce the "Aqua Doc presents Jog with a Frog 5K and a 1 Mile Walk in the Park" community event will be held at 8 a.m., Aug. 25, at Kiwanis Recreation Park in Painesville.The community event will feature a post-race cook-out, live music, Bubbles n Swirls face painting, glitter tattoos, and balloon animals, plus a special appearance from a local hero, according to a news release.

Leadership Lake County has appointed Jay McDonald as its new program manager.McDonald, of Mentor, began his duties July 25 for Leadership Lake County and oversees the Youth Leadership Academy, Junior Leadership and Community Builders programs.

Jeffrey Sherwood in charge of road patrol, court services for Lake County Sheriff

Following the retirement of Lake County Sheriff's Capt. Carl Dondorfer, Lt. Jeffrey Sherwood has been appointed Executive Lieutenant in charge of the road patrol and court services divisions. Sherwood takes over the position with 22 years of experience in law enforcement. According to the Lake County Sheriff's Office, Sherwood is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.

 

'Evita' on stage at Rabbit Run Theater
