DAYTONA BEACH - The girlfriend of a man shot to death on the Oakridge Boulevard bridge believes she's been targeted by the same people who killed her boyfriend, a Daytona Beach police report states.Kaiyana Riddick was at her residence on Sheridan Road on July 2 just after 4 a.m. when she heard several gunshots, police said.

 

DeLand's Rodeo Whip ice cream shop burglarized

A popular DeLand ice cream shop was burglarized and police are working to identify the suspects, an official said.DeLand police responded to Rodeo Whip, 1250 S. Woodland Blvd., shortly before 5:30 a.m. Tuesday due to an audible burglary alarm, Sgt. Chris Estes said.Surveillance video shows one of three suspects throwing a chunk of concrete through the front glass door shortly after 5:10 a.m. Tuesday, according to a police report.

Official: Church shooting suspect to face hate crime charge

COLUMBIA, S.C. - A federal law enforcement official say the man accused of slaying nine black church members in Charleston last month has been indicted on dozens of federal charges.
The official told The Associated Press on Wednesday that a federal grand jury had indicted 21-year-old Dylann Roof on 33 federal charges.
