TU Center gala reopening show for Friday canceled

ALBANY — Citing "unforeseen circumstances involving the promoter of the show," Times Union Center's management company has announced that its gala reopening concert scheduled for Friday is canceled.SMG put out a release Sunday morning saying the John Legend and James Taylor show, which was meant to mark the completion of millions of dollars in renovations to the arena's atrium, is not happening.A further reason was not given for the cancellation, but SMG is holding a question and answer session with the press later Sunday afternoon to provide more details.
