Police say they arrested two Savannah men Friday morning after shots rang out during an altercation between two groups of people at an apartment complex. Calvin Polite, 28, and Leroy Bryant, 32, are charged with aggravated assault and criminal damage to property. The roughly 2:30 a.m. shootout damaged three apartment units and 10 vehicles in the 2800 block of Capital Street, said Eunicia Baker, Savannah-Chatham police spokeswoman. Officers responded after receiving reports of shots fired between two groups of people, with one group dispersing in an unknown direction and the other fleeing in a vehicle, Baker said.
