Underneath the divided sky of sunshine and clouds, music blasted from speakers sitting atop the Shackathon Headquarters booth, signaling that Give-A-Goat/Shackathon 7.0 was in full swing. “This is our first year to participate,” said Lewis Palmer, known to friends as Trey. “I think this is such a good cause.” Palmer and more than 400 people packed the lawn east of Old Main on Wednesday at West Texas A&M University as students constructed makeshift shacks out of cardboard and wooden pallets during the seventh annual fundraising event. read more
