KINGSPORT – The Blake is a record-setting assisted living property, and it’s not even open yet. Alabama-based Quality Senior Living (QSL) reports The Blake has the most deposits ever upon opening in the company’s history. A certificate of occupancy for the 110,000-square-foot property is expected at the end of May. A state inspection is expected in early June with residents to begin moving in afterwards. Developers have $21 million invested in the property that has 118 apartments – 70 in assisted living and 48 for its memory care community.
