Voice Of The Consumer: Beware Of The Phony Tech Support Scheme

A Colorado Springs woman was surfing the Internet when suddenly her computer was disabled, her screen turned blue, and an urgent message popped up. Fern says she was shocked. Even shutting down the computer didn't erase the message. Her computer was being held hostage in another version of a phony tech support scam. The message claimed her computer was infected with a virus and an expert at 866-399-6365 could help.
