CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. — Matt Hagan finds home the perfect place to unwind from his fast-paced lifestyle. After going over 300 mph in his NHRA Funny Car, Hagan likes to slow down — way down — to 6 or 7 mph on his tractor and cut hay on the 500-acre spread which he calls home in Montgomery County, Va.In addition to the acreage where he lives and raises nearly 300 head of cattle, he also has another 100 acres in Floyd, Va., and leases another 500 acres.“You come back here to the farm, to the kids and the wife and it unwinds me,” Hagan said as he entertained media before this weekend’s NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals at Bristol Dragway.
