His tie neatly knotted and his shoes polished, Joe Miles looked into a crowd of about 200 veterans that filled the Savannah Rapids Pavilion on Tuesday in Columbia County. They were all there for a veterans’ job fair, and while many were young, Miles was 45. He left the military in 2010, after spending 18 years working as an Army recruiter and another four as a Marine Corps pharmacy tech.
