The state carpenter-and-millwrights union has pulled its endorsement of state Senate candidate Peter Lucido, although Lucido claims he never received one from the organization. The Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights said in a news release Thursday it withdrew its endorsement of Lucido, a Republican state representative from Shelby Township who is running for State Senate, because of his favorable vote earlier this month to repeal Michigan's prevailing wage law, which requires union scale wages on public construction projects.
