Reed, Spaeder lift Monarch to come-from-behind win over Homestead in 6A regional quarter

COCONUT CREEK — It was just another day at the office for Monarch’s Samari Reed. The senior Ole Miss commit had an interception, two pass breakups, a 23-yard scoring run, 47 yards rushing, and 43 receiving yards. Still, sophomore Jack Spaeder’s 8-yard TD run with 1:22 remaining gave Monarch a come-from-behind 28-21 victory over Homestead in the Class 6A regional quarterfinal on Friday night at Coconut Creek High School. “The guys need me on the field, so I am going to do whatever I have to,” said Reed, who sat out only 10 plays the entire night.
