Two Mission: Impossible Sequels To Film Back-to-back

Christopher McQuarrie, the writer and director responsible for Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation and Fallout, is set to write and direct two more sequels back-to-back. Reported by Variety, the reasoning for the combined schedule is to capitalize on the major critical and financial success of Mission: Impossible - Fallout, which was both the best reviewed and highest-grossing film in the franchise to date.
