Two Men In Pickup Truck Drive Over Embankment Into Norwalk River

NORWALK – Two men in a pickup truck survived going down a steep embankment and rolling over into the Norwalk River Sunday night at Perry Avenue. Police received a call at 10:20 p.m. of a vehicle in the river near the Perry Avenue railroad crossing. When they arrived, they found one of the men had climbed back up the embankment, while the other was still at the truck, a silver Toyota Tacoma. At least a half dozen firefighters, a police officer and two paramedics climbed down the embankment gripping a hand line.
