HARRIS By Emma Crawford Kent Daily Journal TUPELO – Tupelo High School principal Jason Harris is one of three finalists for superintendent of the Columbia School District. Harris interviewed with the public school district’s board of trustees in Columbia, Mississippi, on Monday. After six years at THS, Harris said his interest in the superintendent job stems from a desire to advance his career, rather than from any negative experiences in Tupelo. “Although I love Tupelo, sometimes you have to look for other opportunities,” Harris said. Harris alerted THS he was interviewing Monday via email, wanting them to hear it from him first. “I really wanted to send an email to the staff because they deserve to know,” Harris said.
