Police are investigating a shooting outside of the south Augusta Applebee's restaurant early Tuesday. Richmond County sheriff's deputies were called to the restaurant parking lot at 2125 Windsor Spring Road about 1 a.m. in reference to shots fired. Witnesses told police they saw several people arguing before a man pulled out a gun and began shooting across the parking lot, according to an incident report. No one was wounded, but two unoccupied vehicles parked in the lot were struck.
