Trooper Hospitalized After Crash

(By Steve Lyttle, slyttle@charlotteobserver.com) A N.C. Highway Patrol trooper was injured Thursday evening when he crashed while pursuing a suspect south of Shelby, police say.The crash happened about 7 p.m. on Charles Street, police say.
