By Emma Crawford Kent Daily Journal TUPELO – Work will soon begin on a storm shelter at Carver Elementary after months of waiting for confirmation that FEMA would cover a portion of the building’s cost despite the project coming in over budget. The Tupelo Public School District board of trustees approved to accept a bid on the project from Corinth-based CIG Contractors at its noon meeting on Tuesday.
