Toyota dealers to start fixing defective gas pedals

The automaker says it has found a remedy that is 'both effective and simple.' The parts are being shipped to dealerships, which will remain open 24 hours a day to make the repairs. Toyota Motor Corp. said Monday that parts needed to fix a sticking pedal problem in eight recalled models were already being shipped to dealerships and that it would begin fixing motorists' vehicles this week.
