Tim Pawlenty Loses Gop Primary For Minnesota Governor

Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty lost the Republican gubernatorial primary Tuesday night to underdog Jeff Johnson, the Hennepin County Commissioner. Pawlenty served two terms as governor, winning elections in 2002 and 2006, and after he left office went to work as a lobbyist for banks. Pawlenty entered the race late and did not go to the state party convention in June, but still raised a lot of money.
