For would-be buyers, it's getting tougher to find the perfect house.Inventory continues to dwindle, down 16 percent in August, while prices continue to climb, according to the Greater Capital Association of Realtors.The result was a drop in closed sales, which fell 5 percent in the month from year-earlier levels.The average sale price in an 11-county area that includes the Capital Region jumped 9 percent to $245,358, while the median price was up 8 percent to $215,143.
