Thieves Target Unlocked Cars In East Colorado Springs

Police are looking for one or more culprits in a series of car break-ins and thefts reported in the Stetson Hills area on Tuesday. At least 16 unlocked cars were entered, and one vehicle was stolen after the keys were left inside, according to Colorado Springs police. Various items were taken from the vehicles, which were parked on residential streets and in driveways, police said. The incidents took place late Monday and early Tuesday in an area east of Tutt Boulevard, south of Dublin Boulevard, north of Stetson Hills Boulevard and west of Anna Lee Way. Two more vehicles were stolen out of an open garage after the keys were left hanging on a hook in the garage, police said. Read more on Colorado Springs Gazette
