These are interesting times to be a woman, especially at this particular moment in Florida, with its he-said, he-said debate over her personal freedom. This weekend 150,000 women will step out of this binary, black-and-white landscape and into the embrace of breathtaking color in Taylor Swift’s glittering Oz. On a gray and intermittently wet Friday night at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Swift opened the final leg of The Eras Tour before a sellout crowd of more than 65,000, a great majority of them female, each illuminated by a synchronized rainbow of flashing bracelets handed out on entry. It was the singer’s first South Florida stop on The Eras Tour’s record-breaking two-year run of concerts, her first since 2018’s Reputation Tour, and the crowd was not shy about allowing six years of pent-up love to be rapturously, tearfully unpent. The Eras Tour concerts are likely her final South Florida performances for some time.
