They won the battle.Now they need to win the war.There were plenty of smiles Wednesday as families, educators, activists and others gathered at Penn Wood High School to celebrate a huge court victory - and a win for all those across Pennsylvania who have complained for years about the inequity in the state's system of funding public education.

Providence Animal Center Pet of the Week: Peanut

4-year-old male Mixed Breed Say hello to Peanut, the very special little boy who is looking for a super special forever home. Peanut is around 15 pounds and all white. He was rescued from a local overcrowded shelter and brought to Providence Animal Center in Media, formerly the Delco SPCA, where he is hanging out until the family of his dreams finally comes for him.

5-month-old male Domestic Shorthair Say hello to Jerry, the super sweet young kitten who is in the purrect place to find a forever home. Jerry is white and orange, with super-deep orange eyes. He was rescued from an overcrowded shelter and brought to Providence Animal Center in Media, formerly the Delco SPCA, where he is playing with his cat friends until he finds a great home.

 

AFL Pet of the Week: Faith

This beautiful, young lovebug will repay you many times over for your kindness and pampering. Rescued from a feral colony with her eight newborn kittens, Faith is still barely more than a kitten herself and was a fantastic mama. All eight of her babies have been adopted to good homes, leaving their beautiful mommy to wait patiently.

 

PLDP Pet of the Week: Star

My name is Star. I was saved by PLDP when my time was up at a high intake city shelter. I am the nicest girl and just adore all people. I am house-trained. I am looking for a home with no other animals, I hope to be your one and only and have lots of love to provide. I would do well in a home with older children.
