Urbana man gets 3 years for role in phone sale that turned into mugging

Billiaman Rosenje, 20, pleaded guilty Thursday to robbery, admitting that on Nov. 17, he took part in punching a man inside a car on North Lincoln Avenue and robbing him of phones.

URBANA — An Urbana man who admitted he took part in mugging a man in a phone sale gone awry has been sentenced to three years in prison.

 

Former jewelry store manager gets probation for stealing cash deposit

Diamond Smith, 24, of Urbana pleaded guilty Thursday to theft, admitting that on Feb. 14, 2018, she stole the deposit from Rogers & Hollands Jewelers at Market Place Mall.

MUNCIE — Christina Cross said she and her husband, Scott, were asleep when the sound of high winds woke them up around 2:15 a.m. Thursday.

Local teachers of deaf, blind unhappy with state proposal to relax licensing
