Boys basketball: Skyview 74, Heritage 48

Alex Schumacher scored 20 points to lead the Storm to a 4A Greater St. Helens League win at home.
Squeeky Johnson added 15 points, hitting five of Skyview’s 11 3-pointers.
“Just a solid overall team game,” Skyview coach Matt Gruhler said. “Everybody played. Everyone contributed.”
Skyview (13-4, 4-1) jumped to a 39-19 halftime lead. Heritage (5-11, 0-5) pulled within 12 late in the third quarter, but Skyview ended the game on a 25-11 run.
Skyview’s Kyle Gruhler had a team-high 11 rebounds along with nine points.

 

Student debt puts buying home out of reach for 400K

Skyrocketing student loan debt put homeownership out of reach for 400,000 Americans in their 20s and 30s from 2005 to 2014, according to a new report from the Federal Reserve.
Starting from census data showing a drop of 8.8 percentage points in homeownership among that age cohort, the Fed’s researchers estimate that rising student loan balances account for roughly 2 percentage points of that drop, or nearly a quarter of it.

 

Netflix: Fortnite is a bigger rival than HBO

In 2013, a top executive at Netflix famously announced that the company’s ambition was to “become HBO faster than HBO can become us.” The declaration made headlines at the time for its audacity: Netflix was gunning for the king of premium television.
But now it seems Netflix has identified an even bigger rival: the massively popular video game Fortnite.
