Regulators are considering an inquiry into whether Apple Inc violates antitrust law by requiring that its programing tools be used to write applications for the iPad and iPhone, a source familiar with the matter said on Monday.

But not allowing competing mobile browsers and cross-platform app development is obvious anti-competition behavior. Sure, the iPhone eventually allowed Opera Mini, but only because it was able to find a loophole in Apple's app policy.
