Oscar Pistorius was granted bail today, paving the way for him to be freed from custody pending his trial in the Valentine's Day shooting death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

South African police Thursday arrested double amputee Olympic runner Oscar Pistorius and said he would be charged with murder after his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, was shot and killed at his home earlier in the morning.

As Agence France-Presse reports, a short entry on the website WhoIsMcAfee, set up by John McAfee himself states that he may have been captured. To wit: “We have received an unconfirmed report that John McAfee has been captured at the border of Belize and Mexico.” Interestingly, McAfee has enough content written for his blog for a full year, and has put up a reward regarding the finding of the individual that did kill the man in question; McAfee has maintained his innocence.

Former NBA star Jayson Williams was sentenced to five years in prison Tuesday for fatally shooting a hired limo driver in 2002, ending an eight-year legal odyssey by tearfully apologizing to the victim's family. He will be eligible for parole in 18 months.

The music producer also could get three, four or 10 additional years for using a firearm in killing actress Lana Clarkson at his Alhambra mansion in 2003.
