I was under the impression that even though Michael Gondry had taken over directing duties on THE GREEN HORNET, Stephen Chow was still going to be playing Kato. Maybe not. Cinemablend caught up with Seth Rogen at SXSW and when they asked him about it, he responded that:
"We have no 100% official Kato at this point."
Of course, Chow could still end up taking the role. It just hasn't been confirmed yet....

In the soap opera that is the development of the live-action Wonder Woman movie, it seems as though the long discussed film may finally be getting underway.

The superheroes will take just a little longer to arrive on the scene. Marvel Entertainment announced Thursday morning it was pushing back by a year a pair of key properties in its comic-book franchises, "Thor" and "Avengers." The pictures are moving from 2010 and 2011, respectively, to 2011 and 2012.

Having had a chance to talk to producer Donald DeLine earlier today, Superhero Hype just had to ask him about his long-in-development movie based on the DC Comics character Green Lantern , which just had its release date set for December 17, 2010.

Director signs on to Seth Rogen starrer -- Columbia Pictures has set Michel Gondry to direct "Green Hornet," with production to begin later this year.

"Watchmen," one of 2009's most eagerly awaited films, has had its world premiere in London on Tuesday, and reviews cast the movie as classy but no classic.

Warner Bros. Pictures has provided us with the full gallery of photos from Watchmen, opening in conventional and IMAX theaters on March 6. Directed by Zack Snyder ( 300 ), the graphic novel adaptation stars Malin Akerman, Billy Crudup, Matthew Goode, Carla Gugino, Jackie Earle Haley, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Patrick Wilson. The new trailer for 20th Century Fox's Dragonball Evolution has come online and can be watched using the player below! Written and directed by James Wong, the big screen adaptation stars Justin Chatwin, James Marsters, Jamie Chung, Emmy Rossum, Eriko Tamura, Joon Park, Chow Yun-Fat, Texas Battle, Randall Duk Kim and Ernie Hudson. Opening April 8th, Dragonball Evolution is adapted from the manga created by Akira Toriyama.

Reports of "The Green Hornet's" demise seem to have been greatly exaggerated: Seth Rogen has circulated an e-mail refuting the rumor and expressing hope that the currently director-less project will make its 2010 release date.
