Sullivan Boe Discusses Closing Three More Schools

BLOUNTVILLE — Sullivan County’s Board of Education could vote as early as January whether to close Innovation Academy of Northeast Tennessee, Blountville Middle School and the grades 6-8 portion of Sullivan Gardens K-8 this spring as cost-cutting measures. All told, closing the three at the end of the 2018-19 academic year would mean an annual estimated savings of nearly $1.4 million.
