Stratford Man Arrested For Check Kiting

Stratford man arrested for check kiting Gregory Zamfino, 28, of 223 Sands Place, Stratford, was charged with second-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit second-degree larceny and seven counts of conspiracy to issue bad checks. Sgt. Andrew Gallagher said the arrest stems from a complaint made to police by First County Bank on June 14, 2012 when they detected a check-kiting scam that involved five of its bank branches.
