Winning the Western Buckeye League tennis title has been a tradition at Shawnee. The Indians have won 23 titles overall in school history, including eight straight from 2008-2016, but last year that streak was broken when Van Wert won it all. However, Shawnee, after steamrolling through the the WBL this year with a unblemished 9-0 mark, are poised to regain the title as the WBL tournament begins play Thursday at the University of Northwestern Ohio.
