A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 7 p.m. Wednesday in McHenry County. At 6:19 p.m., a storm was moving east at 30 mph from Kirkland. Residents are warned of possible hail, which could damage vehicles, and extreme winds, which could cause damage to roofs, house siding and trees.
