NEWPORT — Senior leadership took over late for the North Greene Huskies in a Region 1-A title-game victory against Sullivan North. A 48-44 win Thursday night inside Cocke County High School marked the Huskies’ fourth triumph over the Golden Raiders this season — and third in the last 17 days. Tournament Most Valuable Player and senior Andy Stevens had eight of his 19 points in the fourth quarter for North Greene, which will host Coalfield on Monday night in its first home sectional game since 1993. “The seniors are what put us over the top tonight,” North Greene head coach Sam Tarlton said.
