A suspect has been arrested after an armed robbery that turned fatal Sunday at the Subway on Gordon Highway. About 3 a.m. Monday, Richmond County deputies responded to the Courtyard Marriott – located at 1045 Stevens Creek Road – in reference to a suspicious person. Upon arrival, they encountered Brandon James Simmons, 25, of Durham, N.C., according to Richmond County Lt.
