The Binghamton Mets continued their dominance at Hadlock Field Monday afternoon with a 7-2 victory over the Portland Sea Dogs, in the last game before the All-Star break. It was the Mets’ 12th straight victory at Hadlock, as they swept the four-game series. Binghamton improved to 47-42, while the Sea Dogs dropped to 32-59. Sam Travis paced the Sea Dogs with three hits and two RBI. The Mets used timely at-bats with their 11 hits, putting together three-run innings in the third and fifth. Portland scored in the first inning with singles by Marco Hernandez, Carlos Asuaje and Travis. But the Sea Dogs got only four more hits in the game (two of them by Travis). Mets starter Gabriel Ynoa improved to 6-6, allowing four hits, no walks and one run over seven innings.
