In dozens of ski films dating back to 1950, Warren Miller depicted the spirit of skiing with entrancing beauty, inspirational soundtracks and corny humor that made attending his films an annual rite for skiers and snowboarders across America. On Saturday, many will gather to celebrate his life by remembering him on the slopes of Vail Mountain. The public is invited to a commemorative ski from the top of Chair 4 to Mid-Vail at 3 p.m., to be followed by a celebration at Sarge’s at Mid Vail with live music, guest speakers and a cash bar.
