Carlos Delgado/Associated PressRivian announced plans to lay off 10% of its salaried staff.Affected employees won't know their status until the following day.This is the electric-car maker's third layoff in two years amid high interest rates and slowing demand.Rivian left thousands of its workers in limbo after announcing it was laying off 10% of its salaried staff on Wednesday.Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe told staff they'd have to wait to find out whether their role had been impacted until Thursday morning, after notifying staff of the cuts on Wednesday, according to a copy of the email obtained by Business Insider.Scaringe said staff would be notified between 7:30 and 8 a.m.
