A Richmond County sheriff's deputy was arrested early Saturday following a domestic disturbance. According to a statement released by the Sheriff's Office, Deputy Danafrey Clanton was taken into custody after deputies responded to a residence in the 3500 block of Crawfordville Drive about 3:20 a.m. Deputies determined Clanton was the primary aggressor in the dispute and he was charged with misdemeanor battery and misdemeanor criminal trespass.
