Richard Linklater’s next coming-of-age movie is set during the moon landing Director Richard Linklater is best known for his brilliant writing and depiction of youth culture during a certain period of time. The mind behind such works as the Before Trilogy, Dazed and Confused, Everybody Wants Some!! and his 2014 passion project, Boyhood, has announced what his next film will focus on. While speaking with The Houston Chronicle, Linklater revealed he will be shooting a coming-of-age story in Houston, Texas where it will be set in 1969 during the famed moon landing.
