KINGSPORT — Luis Ramos scored three goals and assisted on two others to lead Sullivan South to an emphatic 9-1 win over visiting Sullivan Central in Monday’s quarterfinals of the District 1-AA boys soccer tournament. The Rebels (10-5) will travel to meet Elizabethton on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the semifinals. The Cougars (4-8) got on the scoreboard first when Jacob Kisner slipped a ball passed South goalkeeper Aaron Stokes in the 22nd minute. All that did was light a fire under the South offense, and the Rebels went to work. Ramos knotted the score at 1 on a penalty kick in the 25th minute.
