Rain and sleet hit the Wyoming Valley Tuesday evening, with snow expected overnight. According to a hazardous weather outlook issued by the National Weather Service, a system will bring a mix of snow and rain into the region late tonight and into early Wednesday. A few inches of snow will be possible across higher terrain, where precipitation is expected to mainly be snow. While no watches or warnings have been issued for Luzerne County, the National Weather Service urged drivers to use caution through the night.
