AFTON — A fast start carried the Chuckey-Doak girls basketball team to a 52-37 victory over Sullivan South on Friday in the Region 1-AA quarterfinals. The victory was a sound one for the Lady Black Knights, who outscored Sullivan South 33-16 in the opening half. Chuckey-Doak’s Kassidy Holloway totaled 14 points, Taylor Sutherland 12 and Erica Lamb 10.
