By Tatiana PinaWOONSOCKET, R.I. -- A Woonsocket man was arraigned in Providence District Court Tuesday on a charge of exploiting a child for immoral purposes and second-degree child molestation, according to the police. Woonsocket police arrested George Santos, 31, of Arnold Street on Tuesday, after the family of a 9-year-old girl reported finding inappropriate pictures of the girl in his possession, according to Jamie Paone, spokeswoman for the Woonsocket police. The man is known to the family, Paone said. Santos is being held at the Adult Correctional Institutions until a hearing date scheduled for Jan.
