DANBURY—A man was charged with driving under the influence early Saturday morning after officers saw him drive away after rear-ending another car. Danbury resident Rene Obdulio Perez-Santiago, 32, hit another car on Mill Plain Road around midnight before driving away, police said. When officers who saw the accident caught up with him down the road, they could smell alcohol on his breath and performed a sobriety test. Police said Perez-Santiago had a blood alcohol content of 0.27, more than three times the legal limit.
