Pixar Animation and Disney showcased their upcoming animated short film Sanjay's Super Team at San Diego Comic-Con today. The short, which will play in in front of The Good Dinosaur, is directed by Sanjay Patel, who was joined at the Con by producer Nicole Grindle to show attendees the film and take them behind the scenes of the production process. A very personal film for Patel, Sanjay's Super Team promises to feature "superheroes like never before." The short chronicles the eponymous child who goes from being a kid hooked on superheroes to honoring his dad's Indian traditions thanks to a fantastical encounter with three Hindu deities: the monkey-like Hanuman; Vishnu, the the blue-skinned god who represents preservation; and Durga, the goddess of power and protection Durga.
