Stories Related to Pilot From Lake City With 6 Children Dies In California Spy Plane Crash

BEALE AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. — A pilot who died after ejecting from a U2 spy plane that crashed in northern California was identified as Lake City native Lt. Col. Ira S. Eadie, according to multiple news reports. Eadie graduated from Columbia County High School in 1989 and joined the Navy in 1996 before transferring to the Air Force in 2010, according to the Lake City Reporter. He was married with six children, according to the newspaper, and his parents and several family members still live in the Lake City area. read more
